In four consecutive years, his batter average reads .348, .278, .454 and .463. The final mark came during his senior year, when he co-captained the team. He received his bachelor's degree and was senior class president in 1965. He earned his Master's in 1967 in communication and was vice-president of the UWM Letterman's Club. He was also the recipient of the Andrew T. Weaver Award as the "Outstanding Communication Teacher In Wisconsin" in 1973.
