The second of five Dombrowski brothers to play soccer for Panthers, he appeared in 78 career games, making 74 starts. The two-year team captain scored 62 points on 24 goals and 14 assists, recording 113 shots and seven game-winning goals.  He also became the first player from Milwaukee to be drafted by Major League Soccer, when the Chicago Fire selected him with the 43rd pick in 2002.

He earned numerous accolades as a Panther, including Second-Team NSCAA All-America honors in 2002. He was also a two-time First-Team Great Lakes Region selection and a two-time First-Team All-Horizon League honoree. In addition, his pro career included time with the Carolina RailHawks, Minnesota Thunder, Milwaukee Wave and Chicago Fire. He helped lead the Wave to a MISL Championship in 2005.
