Angie (Molter) Baldus starred in cross country (1992-1995) and track and field (1993-1996) while at UWM. Baldus was twice named UWM's Athlete of the Year and was the first-ever Panther woman to qualify for and compete at the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships, where she placed 15th in the 10,000 meters in 1996.
Baldus was a captain on UWM's cross country team that won the Mid-Continent Conference championship and a captain on the track and field team that won the MCC championship. Molter also won the 3000 meter race at the prestigious Kansas Relays in 1996 and is the school record holder in the 10,000 meters.
Molter, who received a degree in social science from UWM, was twice named to the Dean's List. She also spent a season as an assistant coach at UWM, helping the distance runners.
