MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee placed 113 student-athletes on the 2018 Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll, announced today by the conference office.
The Panthers' total number of honorees ranked second among Horizon League schools, behind only Oakland (142). A total of 973 student-athletes earned the distinction league-wide.
Women's track & field/cross country led the way for Milwaukee with 20 members; women's swimming & diving was second for the Panthers with 17.
Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify: 1) participation in at least one of the League's 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season; 2) completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution; and 3) a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
The 2018 Spring semester marked the 36
th consecutive term Milwaukee student-athletes posted a collective GPA of 3.0 or higher.
