Milwaukee Baseball Set To Return To Miller Park Saturday

Team makes annual appearance at MLB park

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Panther baseball team continues its tradition of playing at the home of the Milwaukee Brewers each season when it hosts Wright State Saturday evening at Miller Park.

The Horizon League contest is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. that day. For just the third time while playing at Miller Park, the Brewers will not be playing before MKE that day, so start times will not be subject to change, as have been in the past.

Parking lots and gates open at 2:30 p.m. and admission for the game and parking are both free. Concession stands will be available until late in the contest as well.

Through a marketing agreement with the Milwaukee Brewers, the Panthers have played at Miller Park every season since 2002. MKE has gone 17-10 in the games at the Major League Baseball park.

Also a reminder to join the team for the first "Milwaukee Athletics Tailgate" prior to the start of the game, celebrating student-athlete success with festivities surrounding the inaugural "Black & Gold Scholarship Fundraiser".

The tailgate will take place at Miller Park inside the first base concourse prior to the contest, kicking off at 3 p.m. Events scheduled include the opportunity to meet members of the coaching staffs of all sports, a silent auction, as well as the scholarship raffle drawing for the chance to win a custom-painted Harley Davidson motorcycle.

For questions or if you are interested in event sponsorship opportunities, please contact Chris Roche, Associate Athletic Director – Development, at 414.229.3057 or rochec@uwm.edu.

To register for the event, visit HERE. Admission to the gathering is $25 for adult, $10 for child (10 & under) and includes a tailgate-style buffet, two drink tickets and cash bar. Tables of 10 are $250.

The motorcycle raffle will raise scholarship funds for both the Peck School of the Arts and Milwaukee Athletics. For more information and the backstory on the Harley motorcycle, click HERE.
