MILWAUKEE - Jeremiah Bell of the Milwaukee men's basketball team was named to the All-Horizon League Second Team today when the league announced its postseason awards as voted on by league coaches, sports information directors and local media.

Bell is closing out an impressive junior campaign, currently leading the Panthers in scoring (13.9 ppg), three-point field goal percentage (.385), three-pointers made (69), free-throw percentage (.772) and steals (35).

Since first appearing in the starting lineup against Belmont in game No. 10 of the season, Bell has averaged a team-high 15.4 points and added 3.3 rebounds per game. In those 21 starts, he is shooting 44.3 percent (112-253) from the floor, 41.0 percent (55-134) on 3's and 78.9 percent from the line (45-57), all coming after averaging 9.1 ppg prior to the Belmont start.

He has led the team in scoring on a dozen occasions, crossing the 20-point barrier six times – including a season-high 29 against IUPUI Feb. 16 – scoring in double-figures 21 times on the season. Bell and the Panthers get "Motor City Madness" underway Sunday against UIC, set to start at 4 p.m. CST.
