Women’s Basketball Gives Back During Busy Week

Team spends off days with youth groups

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee women's basketball team had a busy and fun week last week, volunteering with a variety of youth groups.

On the team's road trip to Detroit last week, they spent their day between games volunteering at a local Southeastern Michigan Boys & Girls Club. The team, coaches and staff spent time playing basketball, tag, board games and video games with a group of over 50 children of all ages.

Back home, the Panthers also volunteered their time at two area schools earlier in the week to continue their efforts to give back to their fans.

According to its website, the Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan has proved high quality programs for young persons in the community. Today, they serve over 15,000 children and young adults every year through many programs and events.
