Farley Honored As League’s Player Of The Week

Senior’s efforts helped Milwaukee to 3-0 week

MILWAUKEE – Bailey Farley of the Milwaukee women's basketball team has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week by College Sports Madness, the publication announced Monday morning.

Farley had a big showing for Milwaukee, helping the team to a perfect 3-0 week, with all three wins coming on the road.

The senior started things off by stuffing the stat sheet with 20 points, four rebounds, three steals and a career-high three blocks to help UWM cruise past UIC on Monday. She followed that up with another big performance, netting 16 points to go with five rebounds, three assists and two more steals in a win at Oakland. Then, just two days later, she scored another 14 points – six of which came in the final two minutes – to help ice away a road win at Detroit Mercy.

Farley is now the third different Panther and the fourth overall this season to be selected as the weekly top player in the Horizon League, joining Steph Kostowicz and Jenny Lindner, who was honored just last week.

Milwaukee – now 15-5 overall and 6-2 in league play – finally returns home for a big five-game home stand, starting Friday at 7pm when conference newcomer IUPUI comes to the Klotsche Center.
