Lindner’s Efforts Earn League Honors

Senior helped Milwaukee to a 2-0 showing last week

MILWAUKEEJenny Lindner of the Milwaukee women's basketball team has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning.

This marks the second time this season and the fifth time in her career that Lindner has been named the league's top player for the week.

Lindner was a big part of a pair of comeback wins for Milwaukee last week at home. She started the brief home stint with her 16th career double-double in finishing with 19 points, 11 rebounds and three steals to help jump start UWM in flipping a 15-point deficit to Cleveland State into a 79-72 win in front of 2,610 fans.

Just two days later, the Neillsville native again had a big showing in another comeback win, this time over Youngstown State. She finished one rebound shy of another double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds, and got the assist on the game-winning bucket at the buzzer.

The Panthers continue their busy stretch with three games this week, starting Monday for a 1pm contest at UIC.
