Horizon League Unveils Women’s Basketball Schedule

Five-game home stand starts Jan. 26

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee women's basketball team will play five-consecutive home games starting in late January and close out the regular season inside the Klotsche Center, according to the Horizon League schedule released today by the league office.

Panther head coach Kyle Rechlicz will begin her sixth run against the conference on the road, heading to Northern Kentucky Dec. 28 and Wright State Dec. 30.

UWM will then kick off the New Year with a Jan. 6 game against in-state rival Green Bay.

Milwaukee's first conference home contest comes Jan. 11 when Cleveland State comes to town. Two days later, the Panthers will play host to Youngstown State.

A three-game road trip is next for the Panthers, starting Jan. 15 at UIC. From there, it's off to Michigan to take on Oakland (Jan. 18) and Detroit Mercy (Jan. 20).

The Black & Gold then return home for a big five-game home stand over the next 15 days. It all starts Jan. 26 when the Panthers will get their first look at the newest Horizon League member IUPUI. Milwaukee then hosts UIC two days later in one of four Sunday home games.

The home stand continues into the month of February with a pair of contests to kick off the month, starting with Wright State (Feb. 1) and Northern Kentucky (Feb. 3).

A showdown with Green Bay will close out the big home stretch Saturday, Feb. 10 inside the Klotsche Center.

Milwaukee makes its final road trip of the regular season with three games in five days, starting Feb. 15 at Youngstown State. From there, it's off to Cleveland State (Feb. 17) before the first trip to IUPUI (Feb. 19).

UWM will close out its 2017-18 conference schedule from the Klotsche Center – where the team went 12-3 one year ago – starting Feb. 23 against Detroit Mercy. The regular season finale is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 25.
