Milwaukee Basketball Set To Host “Black & Gold Shootout”

Event will bring three other schools to downtown

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee men's basketball program will host the inaugural "Black & Gold Shootout" this season at UWM Panther Arena.

The Multi-Team Event (MTE) will run from November 17-19 and sees the Panthers playing one game each day against a different opponent.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us to showcase the Milwaukee basketball program and UWM Panther Arena," UWM Director of Athletics Amanda Braun said. "Milwaukee basketball fans will have the chance to watch six games in the span of three days the shootout is being held. We are thrilled to be able to get this event off the ground this season."

The participating schools this season include Milwaukee, Florida International, Elon and Concordia-St. Paul.

There will be two games per session (per day), with UWM featured as the second contest each day. The Panthers will take on Concordia-St. Paul on Friday, FIU Saturday and Elon on Sunday. The full schedule is listed below. Game times will be posted at a later date.

Tickets will be available on a per-session basis in addition to "All-Session" passes. Group rates will also be available through the Milwaukee ticket office. Tickets will start as low as $10 for single sessions or $20 for all-session passes. All tickets for this event will go on sale October 9 – the same day that all individual-game tickets will be available for purchase for Milwaukee's 2017-18 regular season.
