Pair Of Panthers Named To NABC Honors Court

Duo lauded by organization for academic excellence

MILWAUKEE - Two members of the Milwaukee men's basketball team were among the group of individuals named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court Tuesday.

Brothers Brett Prahl and Alex Prahl represented the Panthers on the prestigious list for the second consecutive year. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts these young men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet certain standards, including a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year and having played at least one year at their current institution.

The twins, who are both Accounting majors, are also members of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll and one part of the UWM roster that helped the Panthers garner the NABC Team Academic Excellence award for the third year in a row.
