MILWAUKEE - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its fifth annual Team Academic Excellence Awards, with the Milwaukee men's basketball team among the honorees.
 
The team award, earned by 218 colleges and universities at all NCAA and NAIA levels, recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2016-17 season.

The Panthers are repeat honorees from last year and were joined on the list by fellow Horizon League member Youngstown State and conference newcomer IUPUI.
