MILWAUKEE - The Banner Boys are in...
 
After weeks of voting and a furious final few hours before the noon ET deadline on June 1, the Banner Boys received the good news Tuesday that the squad is in the field and will compete in the 2017 The Basketball Tournament Midwest Regional after placing seventh in the fan voting.
 
The summer basketball tournament is in its fourth year and continues to grow in popularity each season. TBT organizers announced 60 of the 64 teams that will compete for this summer's $2 million winner-take-all prize earlier this week, which has a grand prize that has grown from $500,000 to $1 million and doubled again last season.
 
The Banner Boys have high hopes and have assembled an impressive roster that includes some of the most well-known names in program history.
 
The roster includes: Jordan Aaron, Boo Davis, Anthony Hill, Chris Hill, Ed McCants, Jason McCoy, Myles McKay, Dylan Page, Matt Tiby, Clay Tucker, Joah Tucker, Cody Wichmann and Kaylon Williams.

Bradley University will host the regional later this summer. According to a release on its website, the Midwest Regional will include a total of 12 games July 15 (eight games) and July 16 (four) at Renaissance Coliseum as the 16 teams in the region play down to four that will advance to the Super 16 July 20-23 at LIU Brooklyn. The four-team semifinals and championship will be played Aug. 1 and 3 in Baltimore. The entire tournament will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks, including ESPN3 coverage of all regional games. Regional seeding and game times will be announced later this month.
