Ed McCants and his group of Milwaukee Panther basketball alumni are not only playing to represent their school, they are also playing for a greater cause. The team has announced it will donate $200,000 to help combat the heroin epidemic should they win.

Over the course of the rest of the month of May we will look at the roster that has been assembled. Up next is Kaylon Williams.
Â
Williams had a successful two-year run for the Panthers after coming to Milwaukee from Kirkwood Community College. An All-Horizon League Second Team honoree as a senior after averaging 10.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game, Williams graduated as UWM's all-time career Division I assists leader (393). He also set the single-season assists record at 215 his final campaign, leading the Horizon League in assists in both of his seasons – finishing ninth in the nation in the category in 2011-12. In his two seasons on the roster, he led the Panthers to a postseason NIT appearance (2011) and a spot in the CBI (2012).
