Ed McCants and his group of Milwaukee Panther basketball alumni are not only playing to represent their school, they are also playing for a greater cause. The team has announced it will donate $200,000 to help combat the heroin epidemic should they win.
Â
Over the course of the rest of the month of May we will look at the roster that has been assembled. Up next is Anthony Hill.
Â
Hill played for the Panthers from 2007 through 2011, gradually growing into a dominating force inside for Milwaukee. After playing in 23 games as a freshman, Hill made 22 starts in 31 appearances as a sophomore. He followed that up with 16 double-figure scoring efforts in 34 games (16 starts) as a junior and then had a breakout campaign as a senior, named to the All-Horizon League First Team after averaging team-leading totals of 15.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Also an NABC All-District honoree his final year, Hill finished his career with 1,022 points and 513 rebounds while leading Milwaukee to an appearance in the NIT and a league title as a senior.
