Rechlicz Looks Back On 2016-17 Season

Team tied program record with 22 wins on the year

MILWAUKEE – One week removed from the Panthers final game of the year, Milwaukee women's basketball head coach Kyle Rechlicz sat down with the Black & Gold Network to reflect on the season that was. UWM finished the year reaching the semifinals of the WBI after posting the first two wins in postseason play in program history. This year's team also tied the program record for wins, going 22-12 overall.

The Panthers also accrued quite the list of honors throughout the busy season. Steph Kostowicz was named Second Team All-Horizon League, while Lizzie Odegard was named to the league's all-freshman team. Kostowicz was also named to the WBI All-Tournament squad, while Jenny Lindner was named to the Horizon League All-Tournament team. Milwaukee also earned a total of six weekly honors from the league office, while four members (Sierra Ford-Washington, Alexis Lindstrom, Bailey Farley and Kostowicz) were recognized after the Panthers swept the TD Bank Classic tournament back in late November.
