Junior named academic all league

MILWAUKEE – The honors continue to roll in for Steph Kostowicz.

Two days after the junior on the Milwaukee women's basketball team was named Second Team All-Horizon League, Kostowicz has now been named to the prestigious Horizon League Academic All-League Team.

A nursing major with a psychology minor, Kostowicz carries a 3.828 grade-point average in the classroom.

On the court, she has once again been a leader for women's basketball this season, helping the team to 19 wins during the regular season while averaging 15.2 points/game, 7.9 rebounds/game and amassing a total of 37 blocks on the season – the third highest total in the conference this year.

The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Academic All-Horizon League consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale) and have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits.
