MILWAUKEE - Mitch Roelke scored 25 points and was named MVP of the Milwaukee men's basketball Alumni Game, leading the "White" jerseys over the "Black" jerseys by a final score of 66-63 Saturday morning at UWM Panther Arena.
Â
Roelke netted a team-high 25 to lead the charge, 10 of them coming in the final two minutes with the game on the line  - also following an elbow to the face that resulted in a bloody nose and a jersey change.
Â
With the Black squad down eight points with about six minutes remaining, Joah Tucker took over, scoring eight in a row to make it a new game. His team was then a point ahead, at 55-54, with 2 minutes left.
Â
Roelke came up with a key steal following a rebound, and his 3-pointer gave his team a 57-55 edge. Tied again at 57-all, Roelke nailed another triple to go up 60-57 and then went 4-4 from the free throw line in the final minute. The Black jerseys had a chance to tie at the end of the game, but a three-pointer was off the rim at the buzzer.
