MILWAUKEE - Zach Cameron-Chodes of Springfield, Mo., Shae Mitchell of Lakeville, Minn., Tyronn Mosley of Chicago, Ill., and Fabio Soehnel of Altach, Austria have all signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Milwaukee men's basketball program next season, head coach
Pat Baldwin announced today.
"Today is a great day for Milwaukee basketball and our Panther family," Baldwin said. "We have the fortune of signing four quality, talented young men who will all help us compete at a high level. Our main objective with this class is to acquire size, versatility, shooting and athleticism across the board. I truly believe we have achieved that for next year. Shae, Ty and Fabio all have length and athleticism that will factor into how I want to play in our backcourt. Zach is a rare-breed athlete for our program, someone who was being coveted by many high-major programs. He worked hard on his all-around game and that's an added bonus that he brings at 6-10 with his length and athleticism."
Cameron-Chodes, a 6-foot, 10-inch forward, will play at Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Mo., this season before becoming a Panther next year. He spent the 2016-17 season at Kennesaw State, playing in 30 games as a freshman. He connected on 46.7 percent of his shots from the floor, chipping in 1.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

"We are thrilled to have Zach sign with us and be a part of our family here in Milwaukee," Baldwin said "I have known Zach for a long time and have been very impressed with his transformation as a person and as a student-athlete. Zach has pro-level athleticism and a high-motor intensity that will be an added bonus to our frontline. We have championship aspirations here and Zach will be key in helping us reach the next level in the Horizon League."
Mitchell reached the 1,000-point plateau last season as a junior at Lakeville South High School, a year in which he averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds per contest. The 6-foot, 8-inch senior led the team to a 15-13 overall mark a year ago and a third-place 12-6 finish in the South Suburban Conference. An All-SSC selection as a junior and a sophomore (when he averaged 16.7 points/5.0 rebounds), the team captain heads into his final prep season as one of the top players in the Class of 2018 in the state of Minnesota. He starts the campaign with 1,126 points and 435 rebounds, on pace to become the school's all-time leading rebounder as well as shot-blocker. He was named to the Preseason All- State Class AAAA Team and played on the Grassroots Circuit with nationally-known D1 Minnesota.
"We are very excited to have Shae join our Milwaukee Panther family," Baldwin said. "Shae comes from a terrific family and will fit in great with our current student-athletes. Shae's length, athleticism and shooting ability are high level and are great attributes for us as we compete to win Horizon League championships. Shae also excelled in football and will compete in track during the spring. His upside is tremendous and we are very fortunate to get a commitment from a high-character and high-performing student-athlete such as Shae."
Mosley, a 6-foot, 5-inch senior at Orr Academy, was a key part of his school's state championship team last season, helping lead the Spartans to the Class 2A title after contributing 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game on the season. th nationally in the Class of 2018 according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings and had also performed well on the Under Armour circuit this spring.
"We are extremely excited to have Ty committed to us and be a part of our Panther family," Baldwin said. "Ty burst onto to the scene in a huge way this past spring and summer. He will add a tremendous amount of versatility to our basketball team as he can guard multiple positions – which is coveted in many high-level programs. Ty led his high school team to a state championship title during his junior year and he will add that winning element to our program."
Soehnel is currently a teammate of Cameron-Chodes at Mineral Area College. Last season, the native of Austria played at Hillsborough Community College in Plant City, Fla. "We are excited to have Fabio committed to us and be a part of our Panther basketball family," Baldwin said. "Fabio stands out on the court because of his toughness and his ability to shoot the basketball. He has a college-ready body and competes at a high level. Fabio also has a tremendous basketball IQ and knows how to make the right basketball plays on the floor. He will add to the depth and versatility of our backcourt and help when we need to grind out wins in the tough Horizon League."
