Men's coverage will feature the broadcast duo of Wayne Larrivee and Justin Lettenberger. Larrivee, well-known as the voice of the Green Bay Packers for nearly 20 years, will be the new play-by-play voice for the Panthers as the program makes the move to statewide broadcast availability.
Lettenberger played for the Panthers from 1999-2003, appearing in 98 career games. He was a senior on the roster the first year UWM appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2003.
The Panther women make their debut at 4:00 pm on Sunday, Dec. 17, with a crosstown rivalry against Marquette.
Bob Brainerd, the voice and face behind the
Milwaukee women's basketball TV games for almost a decade, is set to call the action against the Golden Eagles.
He will once again be joined by Maria Viall, the long-time color analyst for Milwaukee women's basketball. Viall, a member of the UWM Hall of Fame, finished her career in 2004 as Milwaukee's Division I leader in both scoring and rebounding. A two-time Horizon League Player of the Year, she scored 1,867 points (16.2 per game) and grabbed 971 rebounds (8.4 per game) in her career.
This is the first year of UWM's new partnership with Rush Media and FOX Sports Wisconsin, which was designed to increase exposure for the school's athletic program.
