MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Athletic Department has announced today that Scott Warras will serve as men's basketball play-by-play announcer for radio broadcasts beginning with the upcoming 2016-17 season.
 
No stranger to Milwaukee basketball, Warras has spent the past 10 years as the voice of the UWM women's basketball program. Prior to that, Warras was on the producing-side of Panther men's contests, having been a part of the team as far back as the Sweet 16 run in the NCAA Tournament in 2005.
 
In addition to his work with the Panthers, Warras has enjoyed a long stretch of producing "Midday with Charlie Sykes" on Newsradio 620 WTMJ and also works with Time Warner Cable SportsChannel's summer baseball package, which includes UWM and high school baseball. He also spent over a decade as head of the broadcasting team at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
