MILWAUKEE - A pair of Milwaukee men's basketball games will be televised live on the American Sports Network (ASN) as part of the Horizon League's package with the network, it was announced today by the league office.
Those contests will air live in Milwaukee on WCGV-TV (My 24).
A total of eight Horizon League games will be televised live on ASN in 2016-17, beginning with Detroit at Valparaiso Jan. 8. Milwaukee's road games versus Oakland (Jan. 29) and Wright State (Feb. 9) are part of the Horizon League's national TV package on ASN.
ASN affiliates in or near Horizon League cities include WCGV (Milwaukee), WIVM (Canton) WHNE (Flint), WCWF (Green Bay), WOTH (Cincinnati), Comcast SportsNet Chicago (Chicago), WKEF (Dayton) and WYTV (Youngstown). ASN is operated by Sinclair Broadcast Group. Selected games may receive additional distribution via other local affiliates and/or regional sports networks.
When combined with the Horizon League's ESPN television package, Milwaukee will have at least three games televised live to a national audience in 20165-17.
