MILWAUKEE - A day after four student-athletes were honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches as members of its 2015-16 Honors Court, the entire Milwaukee Panthers men's basketball team was also recognized for its work in the classroom.
 
Today, the NABC announced its fourth annual Team Academic Excellence Awards, created by the NABC Committee on Academics. These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2015-16 season.
 
The Panthers are the only Horizon League school on the list.

According to the NABC press release, in order to earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA Division I and II, must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes who competed during the 2015-16 season.
