Four Panthers Named To NABC Honors Court

Group lauded by organization for academic excellence

MILWAUKEE - Four members of the Milwaukee men's basketball team were among the group of individuals named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court Tuesday.

Cody Wichmann, Brett Prahl, Alex Prahl and Derek Rongstad represented the Panthers on the prestigious list. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts the young men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet certain standards, including a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2015-16 academic year and having played at least one year at their current institution.

The entire group are members of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll, while Wichmann also collected Horizon League Men's Basketball All-Academic Team recognition for the second straight season as well as consecutive NABC honors. As a team, Milwaukee carries a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
