Nate Pozolinski Earns All-American Honors

Junior finishes season on college’s biggest stage

Eugene, Ore. – Nate Pozolinski of the Milwaukee track & field team closed out his incredible junior season at the NCAA Championships Wednesday while earning All-American honors in the process.

Running in what proved to be in the fastest heat and in the only heat to face a head wind, Pozolinski finished the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.21 for eighth in his heat and 22nd in the nation, earning Honorable Mention All-American honors.

Devon Allen, who won the national title in the event two years ago as a freshman, topped the preliminary field on his home track with a time of 13.38 to lead the top-eight into Friday's final.

With the finish, Milwaukee officially has two All-Americans in the same year since 1996 when Cory Peterson finished 10th in the indoor 800m and Angie Molter placed 15th in the outdoor 10,000m. Nate joins older brother Brett Pozolinski for that prestigious honor after Brett took fifth in the indoor high jump earlier this year.

The Panthers will now turn their attention to Friday's high jump competition, where Brett Pozolinski will once again take on the best in the nation. That event is schedule to start at 7 p.m. Central Time.
