MILWAUKEE (February 12, 2016) – With the madness of March right around the corner, the UWM Alumni Association has put together a travel package for Milwaukee students to experience the excitement of Motor City Madness at the 2016 Horizon League Men's Basketball Tournament in Detroit, March 5-8. Milwaukee is aiming for its second Horizon League Tournament title and ensuing NCAA Tournament berth in the last three seasons.
A limited number of free all-session tickets, along with free bus transportation, to the Horizon League Men's Basketball Tournament are available to UWM students. Hotel reservations are also being offered at a discounted rate of $100 per night (maximum 4 people per room) at the Greektown Casino Hotel.
Current UWM students age 18 or older are encouraged to take advantage of this special offer today. Registration closes on Monday, Feb. 22. The bus will depart Bayshore Park & Ride at 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 5 and for students who live on or near campus, the bus will depart from Klotsche Center at 5:15 a.m. The bus will depart Detroit on Monday, March 7 at 9 a.m. if the Panthers do not advance in the tournament, or immediately following Monday night's game.
