MILWAUKEE - Andrew Jedlicka has been hired as an assistant athletic trainer for the Milwaukee Athletic Department, Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine

Jedlicka comes to the Panthers from the University of Northern Iowa, where he spent the past two seasons as the UNI women's basketball athletic trainer. He will take over as the men's basketball athletic trainer at UWM.

"We are very pleased to add Andrew to our staff," Ochsenwald said. "His additional certifications and varied experiences in athletic health care gives him the necessary background to do a great job for UWM athletes."

Jedlicka joined the UNI staff in August 2014. In addition to his athletic training duties, he was also responsible for coordinating UNI student-athlete health insurance.
Jedlicka earned both his athletic training bachelor's degree in 2010 and his athletic training master's degree in 2013, receiving both degrees from UNI. He served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Panthers from Jan. 2012 to May 2014, primarily assisting the UNI football squad.

A native of Tipton, Iowa, Jedlicka also served as a conditioning coach and assistant athletic trainer for the Williamsport Crosscutters, a minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, from March 2010 to Sept. 2011.
