Tip-Off Luncheon Flyer

MILWAUKEE (September 24, 2015) – Milwaukee men's basketball fans will have an opportunity to get geared up for the 2015-16 season by attending a pair of events during the month of October.
 
On Saturday, October 10, during Homecoming Week, Milwaukee will hold Panther Fandemonium, a free fan fest, on campus at Klotsche Center, from 1-3 p.m. The afternoon will be filled with plenty of interactive opportunities with Milwaukee men's and women's basketball players and coaches. Attendees will also have chances to get autographs from members of both the men's and women's teams and win prizes.
 
The annual Milwaukee Basketball Tip-Off Luncheon will be held Friday, October 23 at the Hilton Milwaukee (509 W. Wisconsin Ave.) at noon.  Fans attending the luncheon will get a chance to hear about the upcoming season from men's head coach Rob Jeter and women's head coach Kyle Rechlicz.
 
Tickets for the Tip-Off Luncheon are only $25 and can be purchased by calling the Panther Ticket Office at (414) 229-5886 or emailing uwmtix@uwm.edu by October 19.
 
Optimism is high for both Milwaukee basketball programs in 2015-16. The men's squad finished the 2014-15 season strong, winning seven of its final nine contests, including each of the last four, and returns four starters, including Second Team All-Horizon League forward Matt Tiby.
 
The Panther women return three starters from last season's club, including sophomore Jenny Lindner, who was a Horizon League All-Freshman selection a year ago. Milwaukee posted a two-game improvement in the win column from the previous season in 2014-15.
