MILWAUKEE (August 3, 2015) – A pair of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student-athletes were among the 1,000 individuals recently named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.
 
Senior Evan Richard (Kieler, Wis./Cuba City) and junior Cody Wichmann (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski) represented Milwaukee on the prestigious list. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts the young men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.
 
In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be either a junior or senior academically, possess a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2014-15 academic year and have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
 
An international business major, Richard battled through an injury-riddled season in 2014-15 to contribute 0.4 points and 1.1 rebounds per game in 10 appearances, mostly off the bench. He contributed a season-high four points and added three rebounds at Valparaiso last season.
 
 Wichmann had his most productive season as a Panther in 2014-15, averaging 6.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game, while leading the team with 47 three-point field goals and a .402 three-point field goal percentage.  He scored in double figures on seven occasions last season.
 
Both Richard and Wichmann were members of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll in 2014-15 and Wichmann also collected Horizon League Men's Basketball All-Academic Team recognition.  As a team, Milwaukee carries a cumulative grade point average over 3.0.
