MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team held its annual awards banquet to celebrate the 2014-15 season this past weekend.
"The banquet was a huge success," Milwaukee head coach
Kyle Rechlicz said. "Not only did we celebrate many individual performances, we also spent time reminiscing and laughing on moments that happened during the season. I think the families of our players and our special guests really enjoyed seeing our athlete's personalities throughout the day. We took a big step as a program this past season and, as a coaching staff, we are very excited about the direction that our program is heading."
The team awards were handed out and the program commemorated the careers of the three seniors on the squad -
Ashley Green,
Macie Dorow and
Hannah Kaul. The trio helped the Panthers to their highest win total in four years and their first postseason victory since 2010.
"One of the most memorable parts of the day was honoring our seniors and our captains," Rechlicz said. "They truly left a legacy this past year. They taught our team about the desire to win and the commitment it takes to be successful. They will be forever remembered and will be talked about often, as we continue to grow and move forward."
