MILWAUKEE (April 21, 2015) – The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball team will compete in the third annual Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla., November 23-25, it was announced today. Milwaukee will play three games in a tournament that also includes Central Michigan, Drake, Duquesne, Murray State, Pepperdine, Weber State and Western Kentucky.
 
The Panthers were the hottest team in the Horizon League at season's end, closing out the 2014-15 campaign by winning seven of their final nine games, including each of the last four. Eleventh-year head coach Rob Jeter welcomes back six of his team's top seven scorers from 2014-15, including forward Matt Tiby, who averaged 13.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game en route to Second Team All-Horizon League accolades.
 
Horizon League teams have fared well in the first two editions of the Gulf Coast Showcase, with UIC taking third place in 2013 before Green Bay captured the title in 2014.
 
Tickets for the 2015 Gulf Coast Showcase go on sale May 15 at 9 a.m. CT at GermainArena.com or through Ticketmaster. All-tournament passes can be purchased at that time for $89 or $139. Single-session tickets will go on sale this summer after matchups and game times are announced.
