MILWAUKEE - Senior Ashley Green of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team was named the Horizon League Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.

The league honor is the second in Green's career and also the second time in the past three weeks she has earned the award.

The accolades come on the heels of an impressive performance this past Friday, where Green helped lead the Panthers back from a late-game seven-point deficit with her 31-point/10-rebound performance. The double-double was her sixth of the season as Milwaukee knocked off Oakland by a score of 66-60 in front of a packed house of 3,500 on the second annual "School Day With the Panthers".

Green tied the school record with her fourth game of 30-or-more points this season, going 11-for-12 from the free throw line while making both of her three-point attempts to celebrate her birthday with a victory.
