Panthers Mourn Loss Of Former Student-Athlete Allie Pfeffer

Former women’s basketball player passes away

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee mourns the loss of former women's basketball student-athlete Allie Pfeffer, who passed away over the weekend.

Pfeffer, who hailed from Fitchburg, Wis., was a member of the women's basketball team for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons before injuries ended her career on the basketball court. She played in six games in a Panther uniform during her freshman campaign before suffering a season-ending knee injury in practice.

As a tribute, Allie's friends have planned a candlelight vigil to be held on campus in the Klotsche Pavilion, classroom 148, on Wednesday, February 4 at 7:00 p.m. We also invite you to share your memories and condolences on the University's Fallen Panthers memorial website: www.uwm.edu/fallenpanthers.

Allie was an undergraduate senior in the College of Engineering and Applied Science majoring in Mechanical Engineering. She was also a Lawton Scholar and spent this past Winterim exploring Germany with fellow students on a Germany Exchange Trip.
