MILWAUKEE (November 17, 2015) – The student section at Milwaukee basketball games will now be known as the Panther Pit it was announced today. The name was selected via social media poll by University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee students.
 
Student support is critical to creating an electric game-day atmosphere. Milwaukee student-athletes will rely on the Panther Pit to help provide a home court advantage at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena and the Klotsche Center this season.
 
Membership in the Panther Pit costs only $5 and includes a free t-shirt, special event invitations and the opportunity to earn rewards. Students who attend three men's or women's basketball games will receive a free Jimmy John's gift card, while those who attend six men's or women's basketball contests will earn a free Panthers yowie headband.
 
UWM students can sign up for the Panther Pit at home events or by visiting the Milwaukee Athletics Ticket Office, which is located in The Pavilion, weekdays from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
