Members of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team recently volunteered their time at Kapco's Kids2Kids Christmas.
Â
The Panthers brought toys to donate and helped in numerous capacities at Kapco headquarters in Grafton on Saturday, December 13.
Â
The team helped out at the event, which featured the toy drop-off, live reindeer, a kids craft area, hay wagon rides and more.
Â
According to its website, Kapco's Kids2Kids Christmas, in conjunction with 620 WTMJ, is a fun way of teaching children the value of giving. Parents are asked to take children shopping and allow them to select and purchase toys for kids who are less fortunate in our community.
Through this unique endeavor, tens of thousands of new toys are contributed to the Salvation Army and other non-profit organizations. The toys are ultimately distributed free of charge to children throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
Kids2Kids Christmas not only makes an impact on the children who receive the toys, but helps instill the values of caring and giving in the children who donate the toys.
