MILWAUKEE - Senior Ashley Green was named to the Preseason All-Horizon League Second Team in the league's annual preseason polling of league head coaches, sports information directors and media. The two squads and poll were released today on the league website, with the Panthers picked seventh in the preseason poll.

Green is the team's leading returning scorer (14.2 ppg) and rebounder (6.7 rpg) and will lead a young group of Panthers into the 2014-15 campaign. Overall, she finished 11^th in rebounding and 14^th in scoring among the Horizon League leaders a season ago.

Defending regular-season champion Green Bay once again topped the preseason poll with 16-of-27 possible first-place votes and 229 total points. The Phoenix placed two players on the preseason all-league squads, which were headlined by Wright State's Kim Demmings as preseason player of the year for the third year in a row.

Wright State was picked second with 219 points (9 first-place votes) and Cleveland State was third with 182 points (two first-place votes).

UIC and Youngstown State tied for fourth at 151 points and Oakland was sixth with 105.

Milwaukee led the next portion of the list, finishing seventh overall with 61 points. Valparaiso (eighth, 60) and Detroit (ninth, 57) rounded out the list.

The Horizon League made all of the announcements today in the Women's Basketball Preseason Show that was made available on its website starting at 12 p.m. CST.
