MILWAUKEE (October 17, 2014) – University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee basketball fans will have an opportunity to get a sneak peek at the 2014-15 season at a couple of upcoming events this month.
 
Milwaukee Men's Basketball Coach Rob Jeter's squad will hold its annual intrasquad scrimmage October 21 at 6 p.m. at the Klotsche Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The scrimmage is free and open to the public.
 
At noon on October 30, Milwaukee will host the annual Tip-Off Luncheon at noon at UWM Panther Arena. Jeter and women's basketball head coach Kyle Rechlicz headline the event and each will provide a preview of the upcoming season. Players from both teams will also be in attendance.
 
Tickets for the Milwaukee Basketball Tip-Off Luncheon are only $25 and can be purchased by calling the Panthers Ticket Office at (414) 229-5886. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets by October 27 and those in attendance are welcome to stay and watch the men's team practice, which follows the event.
 
That same day, an open house will be held at UWM Panther Arena from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. During that time, fans can stop by and look at and select available seats for season ticket and mini-plan packages.
 
The Milwaukee men's basketball program officially opens the season at Auburn on November 14, while the women's team raises the curtain on the 2014-15 campaign on November 16 at North Dakota State.
